The average import price for peat; (including peat litter), whether or not agglomerateds stood at $183 per ton in November 2023, declining by -15% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a temperate expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 an increase of 110% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $430 per ton. From March 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Latvia ($515 per ton), while the price for Ireland ($89.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+16.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $339 per ton, and then reduced in the following month.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Qatar (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
