The average import price for paper, cigarette; in the form of booklets or tubeses stood at $6,539 per ton in 2022, declining by -8.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 112%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $7,124 per ton, and then reduced in the following year.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($7,532 per ton), while the price for Spain stood at $5,129 per ton.
