In December 2023, the average import price for nuts, edible; mixtures of nuts or dried fruits of chapter 8 amounted to $11,791 per ton, growing by 26% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 114% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $19,259 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to December 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($28,080 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,267 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Israel (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
