The average nickel; waste and scrap export price stood at $8,931 per ton in August 2023, surging by 29% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 238% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11,065 per ton. From May 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($16,292 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany amounted to $3,717 per ton.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+13.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average nickel; waste and scrap import price amounted to $7,922 per ton, waning by -10.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a notable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 97% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $11,147 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($12,205 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($1,198 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Nickel; Waste and Scrap in Poland
