The average import price for nickel; bars, rods, profiles and wires stood at $43,948 per ton in June 2023, with an increase of 16% against the previous month. Over the last six months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for France.
From December 2022 to June 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +9.3% per month.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($28,315 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia stood at $4,945 per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sudan (+156.8%).
