Price for Mechanical Shovel and Excavator in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average mechanical shovel and excavator import price amounted to $106K per unit, declining by -2.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 43% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $146K per unit in October 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to July 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Sweden ($195K per unit), while the price for Austria ($41,928 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average mechanical shovel and excavator export price amounted to $162K per unit, increasing by 5.8% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 15% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in July 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($268K per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($53,172 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Mechanical Shovel and Excavator in Turkey
In 2022, approx. 8.3K units of mechanical shovels, excavators and shovel loaders were imported into Turkey; jumping by 55% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 163%.
