The average export price for meat of bovine animals; fresh or chilled stood at $5,248 per ton in February 2024, which is down by -3.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 6% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $5,850 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to February 2024, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($9,819 per ton), while the average price for exports to Paraguay ($3,274 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price peaked at $7,609 per ton in January 2024, and then reduced in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Argentina ($12,011 per ton), while the price for Paraguay ($6,161 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
