Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 an increase of 36% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2.3 per unit in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to March 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.

In 2022, the average import price for jerseys, pullovers, cardigans, waistcoats and similar articles; of cotton, knitted or crocheted amounted to $7.6 per unit, growing by 78% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible descent. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $11 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($12 per unit), while the price for Haiti ($1.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bangladesh (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
