The average export price for hypochlorites; commercial calcium hypochlorite and other calcium hypochloriteses stood at $1,105 per ton in December 2023, leveling off at the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 9.2% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,397 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,333 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($842 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
