The average import price for halogenated olefin polymers; fluoro-polymers (other than polytetrafluoroethylene), in primary formses stood at $28,015 per ton in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 57% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $43,179 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($44,305 per ton), while the price for China ($22,843 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for halogenated olefin polymers; fluoro-polymers (other than polytetrafluoroethylene), in primary formses amounted to $47,892 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a deep setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 1.4% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $71,605 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was India ($62,968 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia stood at $23,625 per ton.

From 2019 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (-3.7%).

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +67.5% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 43%. Over the period under review, imports of attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, imports of halogenated olefin polymers; fluoro-polymers (other than polytetrafluoroethylene), in primary formses rose markedly to $360K in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +19.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +69.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
