The average import price for halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides stood at $12,095 per ton in January 2024, waning by -71.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a mild increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2023 an increase of 393% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $42,071 per ton, and then fell rapidly in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($15,695 per ton), while the price for Russia amounted to $11,129 per ton.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+25.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average export price for halides and halide oxides of non-metals; excluding chlorides amounted to $53,038 per ton, surging by 99% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed a significant expansion. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $69,263 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Nigeria ($109,457 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkmenistan ($15,598 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Nigeria (+27.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
