Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in August 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($44,899 per ton), while the price for Belarus ($9,101 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $24,558 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($53,364 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($10,034 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+16.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
