In July 2023, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $2,611 per ton, standing approximately at the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 12% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,618 per ton, leveling off in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Australia ($2,662 per ton) and China ($2,652 per ton), while the price for India ($2,002 per ton) and the United States ($2,002 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average grapes; fresh or dried export price amounted to $2,045 per ton, waning by -14.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, enjoyed a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 599%. The export price peaked at $8,389 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Hong Kong SAR ($2,045 per ton) and Bahrain ($2,045 per ton), while the average price for exports to Qatar ($2,044 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($2,045 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Qatar (+47.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of grapes; fresh or drieds, when their volume decreased by -23% to 52K tons. Overall, imports showed a mild slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 17%.
