In September 2023, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $1,845 per ton, dropping by -6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 20% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,808 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +0.6% per month.

The average grapes; fresh or dried export price stood at $3,727 per ton in September 2023, falling by -36.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 64% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $8,308 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($12,728 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lao People's Democratic Republic ($488 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cambodia (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
