The average grapes; fresh or dried import price stood at $2,899 per ton in August 2023, waning by -9.8% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 24% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,539 per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was South Africa ($5,135 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($2,388 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
