Price for Grapes; Fresh or Dried in Saudi Arabia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average grapes; fresh or dried import price amounted to $1,250 per ton, shrinking by -4.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 9.9%. The import price peaked at $1,362 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,540 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($496 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lebanon (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,474 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Yemen.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Djibouti amounted to +13.9% per year.

After two years of decline, overseas purchases of grapes; fresh or drieds increased by 6.6% to 83K tons in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a pronounced descent.
