The average grapes; fresh or dried import price stood at $3,428 per ton in August 2023, which is down by -1.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 24% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,716 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,385 per ton), while the price for Italy ($2,716 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
