The average grapes; fresh or dried import price stood at $3,428 per ton in August 2023, which is down by -1.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 24% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,716 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,385 per ton), while the price for Italy ($2,716 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($8,472 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($3,164 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
