The average grapes; fresh or dried import price stood at $1,715 per ton in August 2023, reducing by -22.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, posted a noticeable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 38% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,603 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,586 per ton), while the price for North Macedonia ($1,199 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+27.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price continues to indicate noticeable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 33% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,644 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($1,756 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($227 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Montenegro (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Grapes; Fresh or Dried in Croatia
