Price for Gearboxes and Speed Changers in Germany (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average gearboxes and speed changers export price amounted to $22,614 per ton, dropping by -3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $23,308 per ton in May 2023, and then reduced modestly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($37,266 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($10,102 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average gearboxes and speed changers import price stood at $14,499 per ton in June 2023, with an increase of 4.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 9.1% m-o-m. The import price peaked in June 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($51,676 per ton), while the price for Denmark ($6,283 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Gearboxes and Speed Changers in Germany
