Price for Frozen Fish and Seafood in Croatia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average frozen fish and seafood import price amounted to $3,086 per ton, picking up by 8.7% against the previous year. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+9.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average frozen fish and seafood export price stood at $2,209 per ton in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 9.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $2,215 per ton in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($6,433 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($1,152 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Montenegro (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of Frozen Fish and Seafood in Croatia

In 2022, approx. 46K tons of frozen fish and seafood were imported into Croatia; increasing by 12% compared with 2021. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period.
