The average export price for ferrous waste and scrap; remelting scrap ingots of iron or steels stood at $564 per ton in 2022, increasing by 7.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Ukraine.
From October 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Slovakia amounted to +1.6% per month.
