The average export price for ether-alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives (excluding 2,2-oxydiethanol) stood at $648 per ton in 2022, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt setback. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,244 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Turkmenistan ($721 per ton) and Turkey ($719 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($496 per ton) and India ($627 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (-3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for ether-alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives (excluding 2,2-oxydiethanol) stood at $1,925 per ton in 2022, waning by -18.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 43% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,355 per ton, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($4,638 per ton), while the price for Switzerland ($724 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 2.6% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $109M, and then fell slightly in the following year.
