Price for Dithionites and Sulphoxylates; of Sodium in India (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average export price for dithionites and sulphoxylates; of sodia amounted to $1,995 per ton, almost unchanged from the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 11% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2,310 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($2,482 per ton), while the average price for exports to Guatemala ($981 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+12.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the import price saw a mild setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 43% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,505 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,320 per ton), while the price for China totaled $777 per ton.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
