In June 2023, the average import price for cyclic hydrocarbons; mixed xylene isomerses amounted to $1,361 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 12% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,660 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,372 per ton), while the price for South Korea amounted to $1,324 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
