In December 2023, the average import price for cycles; parts thereof, wheel rims and spokeses amounted to $31,398 per ton, shrinking by -23.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2023 when the average import price increased by 80% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $69,240 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($210K per ton), while the price for South Africa ($19,045 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
