In March 2022, the average import price for cycles; parts, pedals and crank-gear, and parts thereoves amounted to $6,902 per ton, increasing by 8.8% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated perceptible growth from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, import price for cycles; parts, pedals and crank-gear, and parts thereoves increased by +21.1% against December 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 57% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,030 per ton. From October 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($25,720 per ton), while the price for China ($3,946 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for cycles; parts, pedals and crank-gear, and parts thereoves stood at $4,655 per ton in March 2022, shrinking by -4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2021 an increase of 26% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,218 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In March 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to the Netherlands ($5,455 per ton) and Italy ($4,439 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($3,720 per ton) and Turkey ($3,999 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 104% against the previous year.
