Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 27% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $25,510 per ton in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Cote d'Ivoire ($46,089 per ton), while the average price for exports to Burkina Faso stood at $31,045 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cote d'Ivoire (-1.4%).
Imports of Cyanides and Cyanide Oxides; Other than of Sodium in Ghana
In 2022, supplies from abroad of cyanides and cyanide oxides; other than of sodia increased by 10% to 11 tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a abrupt curtailment.

Overall, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 347% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 1.4 tons, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of cyanides and cyanide oxides; other than of sodia dropped rapidly to $38K in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 217%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $57K, and then fell markedly in the following year.
