The average import price for crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, prepared or preserveds stood at $9,886 per ton in November 2023, surging by 6.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $10,800 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($11,370 per ton), while the price for Chile ($4,055 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
