The average import price for crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, prepared or preserveds stood at $3,531 per ton in October 2023, declining by -36.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 21% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $6,129 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($9,865 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($2,337 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from October 2022 to October 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($35,730 per ton), while the average price for exports to Albania ($3,865 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
