In 2022, the average import price for copper; rivets, cotters, cotter-pins and similar articles, not threaded amounted to $17,186 per ton, with a decrease of -3.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 42% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $17,730 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($31,600 per ton), while the price for the UK ($6,112 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
