Price for Chromium Oxides and Hydroxides in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
The average chromium oxides and hydroxides export price stood at $8,763 per ton in August 2023, growing by 21% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated modest growth from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, chromium oxides and hydroxides export price decreased by -2.5% against June 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 76% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $8,992 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Overall, the import price continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 47% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $8,950 per ton in July 2023, and then reduced markedly in the following month.
