Price for Chamotte or Dinas Earths in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2023

The average chamotte or dinas earths export price stood at $274 per ton in June 2023, falling by -2.7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 9.3% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $282 per ton in May 2023, and then declined slightly in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($453 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($191 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average chamotte or dinas earths import price stood at $303 per ton in June 2023, falling by -7.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a mild slump. The import price peaked at $444 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
