The average export price for cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of oatses stood at $2,028 per ton in September 2023, with an increase of 5.8% against the previous month. Over the period from December 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $2,139 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were South Korea ($2,471 per ton) and the United States ($2,222 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($1,833 per ton) and Spain ($1,868 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
