The average import price for cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of cereals excluding barley and oatses stood at $2,133 per ton in 2022, reducing by -15.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 39% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $3,056 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($5,925 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($854 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
