In 2022, the average export price for cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of cereals excluding barley and oatses amounted to $1,592 per ton, which is down by -6.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 35%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,827 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($1,766 per ton) and the United States ($1,645 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($1,214 per ton) and Italy ($1,639 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+17.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
