The average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin stood at $1,183 per ton in October 2023, with an increase of 28% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.8%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was India ($3,239 per ton), while the price for Mali ($326 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Senegal (+18.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $967 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($991 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($521 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in France
