The value of the cereal flour market in France amounted to $X in 2018, remaining stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, cereal flour consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Exports by Country
Turkey (X tonnes) and Kazakhstan (X tonnes) represented roughly X% of total exports of cereal flours in 2018. It was distantly followed by Germany (X tonnes), constituting a X% share of total exports. Argentina (X tonnes), Pakistan (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes), Egypt (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Uzbekistan (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes) and Russia (X tonnes) occupied a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest cereal flour supplier from France, comprising X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Kazakhstan ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a X% share.
In Turkey, cereal flour exports increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2018. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2018, the cereal flour export price in France amounted to $X per tonne, coming down by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the cereal flour export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. France export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per tonne), while Kazakhstan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Cereal flour imports into France amounted to X tonnes in 2018, approximately mirroring the year before. Overall, the total imports indicated strong growth from 2007 to 2018: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, cereal flour imports decreased by -X% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% y-o-y. France imports peaked at X tonnes in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

Uzbekistan (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), Angola (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Syrian Arab Republic (X tonnes), Brazil (X tonnes), Guinea (X tonnes), Bolivia (X tonnes), Somalia (X tonnes) and Madagascar (X tonnes) held a minor share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2018, the biggest increases were in Madagascar, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest cereal flour importing markets into France were Iraq ($X), Afghanistan ($X) and the U.S. ($X), together comprising X% of total imports. The Netherlands, Angola, Guinea, Brazil, Syrian Arab Republic, Uzbekistan, Bolivia, Somalia and Madagascar lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X terms of the main importing countries, Guinea recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2018, the cereal flour import price in France amounted to $X per tonne, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the cereal flour import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the import prices for cereal flours attained their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, import prices remained at a lower figure.
