Price for Cattle; Live, Pure-Bred Breeding Animals in Hungary (FOB) - 2023

In July 2023, the average export price for cattle; live, pure-bred breeding animalses amounted to $2,922 per unit, increasing by 4.1% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month. The export price peaked in July 2023.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($3,056 per unit) and Belarus ($3,039 per unit), while the average price for exports to North Macedonia ($2,142 per unit) and Austria ($2,144 per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
