In October 2023, the average import price for carbonates; peroxocarbonates (percarbonates); commercial ammonium carbonate containing ammonium carbamates amounted to $340 per ton, with a decrease of -10.7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 24% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $381 per ton, and then declined in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($539 per ton), while the price for Estonia ($67.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+21.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 17% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $662 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($1,078 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($497 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
