Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Nigeria (CIF) - 2022
The average books, brochures and leaflets import price stood at $1,502 per ton in 2022, rising by 3.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 49% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $7,229 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($4,268 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($458 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average books, brochures and leaflets export price stood at $3,592 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -7.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 39% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $4,284 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($11,757 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Africa ($516 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Gambia (+17.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Nigeria
For the fourth year in a row, Nigeria recorded growth in purchases abroad of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter, which increased by 56% to 35K tons in 2022.
