Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Egypt (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets import price amounted to $13,712 per ton, waning by -5.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 133% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $14,507 per ton in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($14,254 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($6,229 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lebanon (+14.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average books, brochures and leaflets export price stood at $2,516 per ton in 2022, rising by 110% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed resilient growth. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Libya ($11,799 per ton), while the average price for exports to Palestine ($271 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Libya (+20.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, overseas purchases of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter were finally on the rise to reach 984 tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, showed a dramatic setback.
