Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Bulgaria (FOB) - 2023

In June 2023, the average books, brochures and leaflets export price amounted to $5,188 per ton, waning by -15.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 17% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6,126 per ton, and then reduced notably in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($14,578 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($2,238 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average books, brochures and leaflets import price stood at $8,464 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 31%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10,877 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($39,404 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($4,457 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
