Price for Andalusite, Kyanite and Sillimanite in Poland (CIF) - 2023
The average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite import price stood at $676 per ton in June 2023, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 an increase of 26% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $760 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($806 per ton) and France ($736 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($568 per ton) and South Africa ($639 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite export price amounted to $728 per ton, falling by -27.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 69% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,218 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,197 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan stood at $724 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Andalusite, Kyanite and Sillimanite in Poland
For the third consecutive year, Poland recorded decline in supplies from abroad of andalusite, kyanite and sillimanites, which decreased by -4.9% to 11K tons in 2022. Overall, imports showed a abrupt curtailment.
