The average import price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s stood at $6,734 per ton in September 2022, rising by 14% against the previous month. Over the last three-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($10,571 per ton), while the price for Bahrain ($5,095 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+13.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was India ($14,425 per ton), while the average price for exports to Australia ($4,880 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+29.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
