In 2022, the average import price for aluminium; alloys, wire, maximum cross-sectional dimension is 7mm or lesses amounted to $10,242 per ton, which is down by -12.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 87% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $11,673 per ton, and then declined in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($21,797 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($3,782 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
