In November 2023, the average import price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows amounted to $2,735 per ton, rising by 8.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2023 when the average import price increased by 47% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $3,447 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Armenia ($8,988 per ton), while the price for China ($1,266 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows stood at $3,475 per ton in November 2023, leveling off at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 8% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,176 per ton. From March 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Russia ($3,794 per ton) and Kazakhstan ($3,707 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kyrgyzstan ($3,203 per ton) and Tajikistan ($3,239 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (-0.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Imports of Aluminium; Alloys, Bars, Rods and Profiles, Other than Hollow in Uzbekistan
In 2022, purchases abroad of aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows decreased by -1.5% to 4.7K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 11%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 5.2K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows rose remarkably to $17M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +17.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +61.5% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 38% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In general, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 66% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 2.6K tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, exports of aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows rose rapidly to $11M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 132%. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
