In December 2023, the average export price for acyclic alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses amounted to $573 per ton, waning by -7.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 21% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $742 per ton. From February 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Canada ($2,312 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($236 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
