Over the period under review, the import price posted a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 67%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,317 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 60% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,576 per ton in 2021, and then declined rapidly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($5,327 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($561 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
