The average import price for acrylic polymers, in primary forms (excluding polymethyl methacrylate) stood at $2,091 per ton in 2022, picking up by 4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,273 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($3,069 per ton), while the price for Finland ($1,627 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $3,443 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($2,840 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lebanon ($988 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Greece (+12.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
