In August 2023, the average import price for acids; aromatic polycarboxylic acids; dinonyl or didecyl orthophthalateses amounted to $1,460 per ton, dropping by -3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 1.8% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,813 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($1,923 per ton) and the Netherlands ($1,715 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($1,388 per ton) and South Korea ($1,603 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (-1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average export price for acids; aromatic polycarboxylic acids; dinonyl or didecyl orthophthalateses amounted to $4,847 per ton, increasing by 133% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 142%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($5,345 per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova totaled $2,395 per ton.
From 2016 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+117.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
